Typography Fundamentals Book

Project Description

Design Problem: To create a book that highlights different typography projects highlighting typography fundamentals. The first project involves creating a typeface. The second project layout out typography anatomy. The third project explored different typesetting. The fourth project explored Swiss designers and required making three posters showing different typeface categories.

Design Process: For each individual project in the book, I began with thumbnail sketches. I used Illustrator for project one, two, and four. For project three, I used InDesign. Each project involved research into typography fundamentals.

Design Solution: I had to find a way to make all of these projects work together in a book format. I chose to use a fun bright color palette throughout the book to help bring the reader along.
